A Vital Trade and Communications Hub of Baluchistan

Quetta is the largest city and provincial capital of Baluchistan and is known as the "Fruit Garden of Pakistan", due to the diversity of its plant and animal wildlife. Surrounded by imposing hills on all sides, the population of Quetta is approximately two million, and the city has an area of 2653 sq. Km.

Situated near the Durand Line border with Afghanistan, Quetta is an important trade and communications centre between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The city lies on the Bolan Pass route which was once the only gateway to and from South Asia.

Rich in culture and history, Quetta is widely considered to be the provincial hub for commerce and trade in Baluchistan.
